Myth & legend

Griffin's Keep

Griffin's Keep is a 5-reel, 3-row game with 20 lines, set in a stone keep where a golden griffin keeps watch. The griffin stands in for other symbols, and three signal braziers anywhere start 8 free spins with every win tripled.

How it plays

The rules of Griffin's Keep

  1. Each spin plays all 20 lines. A line pays when the same symbol runs from the leftmost reel to the right: 3, 4 or 5 in a row.
  2. The griffin is wild. It stands in for every symbol except the brazier, and two or more griffins from the left pay on their own: 5 times the line cost for two, 1,500 times for five.
  3. When a run starts with griffins, the line pays the better of two readings: the griffins alone, or the whole run as the symbol they lead into.
  4. Three or more braziers anywhere on a paid spin start 8 free spins at the same spin cost. Every win in them is multiplied by 3. Free spins cannot be won again during free spins.
  5. Each reel holds one brazier at most, so five is the most a single spin can show.

The feature

Free spins: 8 of them, every win tripled

In our test the braziers started free spins once every 101 paid spins on average. Because every win in them is tripled, most of this game's biggest rounds come from free spins.

Griffin's Keep: illustration of a golden griffin on a stone keep with a signal fire on the tower
The cover shows the keep at dusk: red and blue banners on the walls, a path winding up the crag and a fire lit in the iron brazier on the tower. The symbols come from the hall inside, from the knight's great helm and the war horn down to a wax seal, a quill and a candle.

What pays

Symbols and pays in Griffin's Keep

At 100 coins a spin on 20 lines, each line costs 5 coins, so three great helm symbols on a line pay 50 × 5 = 250 coins.

Pays are in multiples of the line cost. “3 for 50” means three in a row pay 50 times that amount.
