What the site does for you

• Pause. On Your card, three buttons stop every game in this browser for 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days.
• While a pause runs, the Spin button stays grey and the daily gift of 5,000 coins waits. No button ends a pause early: it runs until the date shown on Your card.
• Reminder. After every 60 minutes of play in one visit, the game stops and asks whether you want to carry on. You can change it to 30 minutes or switch it off.
• No autoplay. Each spin starts with a press of Spin or the space bar, so a game never runs while you look away.
• Clear my card. One button on Your card deletes your coins, level and settings from this browser.

What these tools cannot do

• Each browser keeps its own card: Chrome on a laptop and Safari on a phone know nothing of each other.
• A private window starts a new card with 20,000 coins, and clearing this site's data in the browser settings removes a pause.
• If you want a block you cannot undo yourself, device settings and blocking apps can stop a website for a set time. GamCare's website explains how to set them up.

Signs to stop for a while

• You keep spinning to win back coins you lost a minute ago, although coins are worth £0.
• A visit runs past the 60-minute reminder again and again, or late into the night.
• Playing here makes you want to try games that take payments, which Guild Beacon never does.
